Why we are going online
Romans 13:1 tells us, “Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God.”
On March 16th, our President implored the citizens of this great country to please self-impose limiting gatherings over 10 individuals. This is so that the Federal government does not need to impose more strident guidelines for social-distance and stopping the spread of the Coronavirus. His suggestion was that we self-impose this practice for at least the next 14 days. Schools have pretty much been canceled and we are in prayer for all the parents with school-age children, first that they will be able to provide care for their kids, secondly that they do not go crazy… and that the kids will be patient and help, not hurt the strange new restrictions.
With all this in mind, the elders have decided to cancel all face-to-face church related gatherings until further notice. We will evaluate the situation at that time and let you know if there are any further cancelations necessary. We will live stream Sunday worship at 10:30 as the Lord enables us to do so. Also, our fellowships and Bible study groups are using Zoom meetings.
